Who is this for?

Therapy for Transitions was created with all kinds of folks in mind, truly. However if you are unsure about taking the next step (aka reaching out via the Contact page) then I would encourage you to read through the below to inform your decision making!

Reasons to consider therapy at T4T:

(the below are some examples, but the best way to know if we would work well together is to reach out for a free consult via the Contact page)

  • You are seeking to better understand yourself, your identity, or your role in your community.
  • You are neurodivergent or suspect that you are and are needing support.
  • You are feeling hopeless, helpless, or devoid of optimism for your future.
  • You are tired of having to explain the basic concepts of your own identity to well-meaning but ultimately uninformed therapists.
  • You have tried therapy before and felt ashamed or misunderstood when you finally really opened up.
  • You are struggling with depression, anxiety, and/or other mood disorders.

Reasons therapy at T4T may not be right for you:

  • You want to go to therapy to "fix" someone else that is refusing to attend therapy.
  • You want to prove something to someone else.
  • You don't want to go to therapy, but someone in your life has demanded that you do.
  • In other words, if you aren't here because you want to be here.
